Sulfur Creek Camp out

The UWA Annual Sulfur Creek Camp-out

What: A windriders annual gathering to enjoy the wind and our great community. Bring your standard camping gear, food, and drinks.

Where: Sulfur Creek Reservoir. From Evanston Wyo. head south (Right) on state highway 159 (the Mirror Lake Highway; the second exit off I-80) for 10.5 miles. (If you forget to check the mileage, there's a sign for Sulphur Creek Reservoir, on the right, just before the next turn) Turn East (Left at the sign) on State Road 173 and drive about 1 mile and turn Left (North) into the park.

When: Friday, August (Dates TBD), 20??

Who: Everyone, your families, your dogs, and your gear.

Schedule:

Friday: Videos After dark wind/kite surf videos in the pavilion. Weather, circumstance, equipment, etc permitting.
Saturday: Clinic:
Races: Noon until 5 PM: A triangle course will be set up. The wind will dictate the type of course we will run. A figure 8 slalom is the most likely. We do have some prizes for the winner this year. Ben Cahoon made us all look like fools last year.
Maybe even a team relay event (inspired by the Olympics.) Something like a 4 by 400 liter race - the combined volume of the 4 boards must be less then 400 liters.
Louisianna Style Cajun Crawfish Boil: 7 PM - Chef Heninger and his Sous chef staff will be boiling up fresh crawfish into his secret Cajun recipe. Your kids are needed to catch the mud bugs.
Last year he made 2 - 5 gallon pots and not a single crawfish was left uneaten. Most importantly however are Linda's gourmet S'mores around the campfire on Saturday night.
Fireside or Vid Whatever the circumstances call for.
Sunday: Hopefully more wind.
