10/16 Craig's Where to Ride

It looks windy out there today, but wind quality will be variable. Look for strong gusty winds at DC starting around 11AM,
and that will probably be the warmest part of the day (maybe 65 degrees) as well. You might get to use a 4.5/9 on
some reaches, but 6/12 might be a better call for the base wind. Kiters be wary of the gustiness, and everyone expect the air to cool off quickly in the afternoon with rain possible. I think it will be too gusty to ride by 5PM. Mona
and Willard look to have 6/12M conditions from about 11 until 3. Once again figure some very strong gusts in there.
Sulfur will have a lot of wind maybe into the sub 4M sail range from Noon until 6, and temps topping out in the low 50s.
The wind then switches North at UL launches. Figure 5/10M conditions from 4 until dark (and after dark), with periods
of wind in the 4/8M range. Also figure a cold air surge as the wind shifts North, which might not get much above
55 degrees, with rain possible.

Tomorrow looks like a cold, cold Sulfur Creek day in the 6M sail range PM with air temps that barely skirt 50 degrees, but
at least the sun will be out.

Thursday looks like a pretty nice planable DeerCreek Thermal PM.

Stay safe out there today.
