Where to Ride Christmas Eve.

Sorry about the late forecast. I did another dawn patrol. I was hoping to post as soon as I left the hill, but my phone died. Jake and I went to PowMow. Wind blew 20 - 25 mph with 18" of powder on the riding hill and deeper spots in places under partly sunny skies. The snow is bottomless between the launch area and the riding hill, so it would be a rough go for a newbie (it was a rough go for me). Wind should continue to pick up this afternoon at PowMow, may be enough wind for Monte Cristo.

Best coverage today is at Skyline with good wind all afternoon. Rush and Park City should also be good. Rush will have better coverage as fewer riders have been out there. Valley locations are totally dependent on coverage. Evanston will have very strong wind this afternoon and blowing powder.

Christmas Day - you may be able to get some AM rides (if you can break away) and then the big cloud puking event begins. High Elevation areas will most likely be whiteout conditions.

Day after Christmas - Strawberry may be rideable.

I will not post tomorrow morning, but I hope to post later in the day. Have a Merry Christmas!
