3/19 Craig's Season Opener

there. All the best South wind will likely be AM as a break in the clouds will be working over
the region. By afternoon be prepared for rain showers to come in and make the wind even
more gusty. Rush is looking strong this AM for those of you crazy enough to own 5-7M kites.
Look for it to get really gusty around 1 PM and then steady out again late afternoon with rain.
The safest conditions (if you can call anything safe this time of year) will probably be Willard
Bay AM where it'll probably be 8-10M conditions for Kiters and 5.5 for Windsurfers. PM Willard
will also blow South, but will get gustier. DC is going to be in the 10-35MPH mode, and will be all day long. With as cold as it is, DC could be life threatening, and you might see snow up there
early evening. Mona looking 6.5/12M-ish most of the day. UL will provide late afternoon
rainy 7M rides for desperate windsurfers at MM19 with dips maybe into the 5M quiver. UL
Kiters can enjoy cold gusty 14M conditions AM and cold gusty rainy 12M conditions PM.
Tomorrow, a "warm" front bulges up from the South. There will be South wind, but I think
the best bet for your 55 Degree rides will likely be Rush for more 7M kite action most of the
day, with Mona and Willard favored for windsurfers in the 5.5M range PM. DC looks heinously
gusty and weird Sunday, but warmer.
Monday more South wind as a continued train of fronts chugs through the western states.
Remember, it's a dangerous time of year for hypothermia, so blubber up to protect your loved
ones from having to litigate through your will.
