Rush looked good most of the morning but with the clouds, monsoons etc I waited until about 3 to get there. Once there I watched the wind and clouds for a while trying to get a feel for what was coming and whether there were any monster gusts. The radar showed any gnarly looking activity pretty far east over the Wasatch Mtns and after about 45 minutes the wind seemed pretty consistent so I rigged up. I went with 14. I'd have gone a little bigger but wanted some kind of relief should a big gust have come along.

There were a couple of typical Rush lulls. But with the water only knee deep at its deepest I just waited them out. All in all a nice three hour session with the place all to myself.

Rush is pretty fun right now with it being so shallow and the weeds there the whole thing is glass. Of course the mud just absolutely reeks but I guess that's why you try not to fall..... ;))
