ssb 12m
You never know what you get when you go to ssb, and I'm not talking about the wind. First of all the traffic is an utter f-----g disaster. Enough said. Arrived as Dean and Willy were calling it. It was to be a solo session. It's alot more fun when the rest of the crew is there, not to mention the safety factor. Dean lost his board and I hope it turns up. As I was launching one of those fancy police boats(like they have in the gorge) was just off ssb with their lights flashing. They were waving me over to them impatiently. I dreaded that they were going to tell me no kiting or something like that. As I approached they started to take off at high speed so I jumped 20 ft. right behind the boat and waved. No response. Oh well. Maybe a fishing boat went down again. Continued to kite till sunset. Love that light. When I came in I was approached by the cast from Deliverance. They were stuck in the same hole Arpi had been the night before and wanted a tow. Coming from a long lineage of coal miners and trailer dwellers from Wyoming I happily accepted the challenge and hopped into the Dodge diesel with tow rope in hand. They had an arsenal of chain saws and were cutting everything down and stuffing it under their bronco. Pulled em right out. Scratched the shit out of my truck. I'm pissed. It's my own fault. The rednecks told me those were "Utah Pinstripes". Guess they're alot smarter than they look. And I guess I'm alot dumber. Speaking of smart, on the way home I saw a windsurfer convention pulled off the side of the highway. I think a wind board took flight out of the back of a pick em up truck???? What happened? Finished the night with a t-bone from Porter's in Lehi with the ex. I'll spare you that story.
