Rode up with Mark and Sal got out late because Sal had to go to Burger King!!! it took 30 minutes
The snow is getting crusty. This year I have seen so many just break their personal best and I would call 2013 a break out year.
Just to throw out some names Chris Sherwin, Chris Gainer, Tyler Lyons, Andy Blunt, and today Sal our Indian Warrior & John Gauy who is
certainly setting the bar for all of us. Its been a honour and have great respect for what you all have achieved this season.

Oh also taken some video too it is the first time that I have climbed Bosco Hill from between the trees and a Glde

Peter,

What a neat post. As a guy who was introduced to kiting here with this group of guys and then went to live elsewhere for a minute and who has since, like the prodigal, returned I'll say again what I have said before. The utah wind riders is a remarkable group of atheletes, friends and people. I consider myself fortunate to know and be numbered among you. The sport, as you all know, is just so remarkable. Every time I launch my kite and feel the power load up in the harness an involuntary smile comes across myface. I look to my left and right at the kiters nearby. They smile back knowingly. And then...WE GO BIG!

The snow season is far from over. Spring conditions are about to set in. That being said, and this may break protocol, I nominate Chris Pepe Sherwin as kiter of the year. I have no doubt that the vote will be unanimous. Chris is a dear friend to all of us and has been an absolute inspitarion as he continues to blow minds every time he puts up a kite this year. Seriously Pepe I've sat at the bottom of the hill many times this year shaking my head and giggling as you fly past 100 feet above. You land only to insist that I get off my ass and follow you. I've gone places I would otherwise not have gone, jumped higher than I otherwise would not have jumped and embraced and challenged my life in ways I otherwise would not have done had it not been for your example and friendship.

As I said I know voting is a ways out still. But when a guy goes wire to wire like this what's the point in waiting? Here's to Pepe. KITER OF THE YEAR!

Who's with me? Let's hear it!

Andy

I would have to agree with Andy..Pepe should be "Kiter of the Year". He has really been getting after it and inspiring the rest of us to go a little bigger and live a little larger! :))

Kiter of the year...sounds fitting for Pepe! Coming from someone who joined the forum last year, this community is the best. Great group of guys out there having fun, going big and watching out for us beginners. Pepe exemplifies the Utah Windriders!
