Showed up around 2:30, wind was light from the S. Then switched out of the North and kicked up to warrant an attempt. I got 4 or 5 laps out and back and that was it. Spent the rest of the time fighting lulls and back stalls with numerous re-launches. Quit around 4:30. Glad its shallow out there! Better luck next time hopefully... water depth is still plenty good (for now).

Side Note: I met Marty for the first time at Rush a few weeks ago. Im new to the sport and he was very welcoming and offered some advice. Such a nice guy. I obviously didn't know him as well as many of you knew him, but when it lulled out at 2:30pm from the South to almost no wind. I looked up and said "Cmon Marty... give me at least a few puffs". 10 minutes later, some puffs came out of the North at 8-12 for a short while. Enough to get a couple flat water cruisers and put a smile on my face to avoid a fully skunked session. Condolences to his family, close friends, and the UWA guys who knew him well and shared an experience (or two) with him kiting.
