OK...been a really long time since i`ve sailed anywhere in Maui, so my son and daughter put together a family trip for my 70th birthday--yeah, 70--to my favorite old sailing spot Kanaha. My son, Grant Jr. and I rented gear from Kanaha Kai (thanks to Sarah and Linda`s referral) and we we`re off for 7 days of ripping it up! Good gear from Starboard & Hot Sails combined with great wind (4 days of 4.3 to 4.7 and 3 days of 5.3 to 5.7) left us with big grins, monkey arms and lots of empty beer bottles. Great time and thanks again Sarah and Linda for the referral Bart and Dagmar are great to rent from!!

We don’t know each other Grant, but it sounds like a stellar adventure for a 70th. I hit the big 6-0 this September, and will probably be celebrating with a trip here to the cabin on Strawberry. I too have fond memories of Hawaii, about 5 years on Oahu back in the late 70s. Congratulations on still hitting it—hard it sounds like. Hope to get there myself.
