Left the alarm on 5:50 again and got the same magic. The wind meter was averaging 29mph when I got up. Where is this coming from? When I got there at 7:20 it was flat but then a 23 mph windline came through. Not enough wind to roll the sail out then had to stand on the rig to keep the sail from blowing to Lakepoint. 10 minutes of wild screaming reaches and full planning jibes, then swam the last 50’ to shore. Then another wild 15 minutes and another die-off. The 1st 30 minutes was worth the drive. I rigged the 6.0 and the 7.0 but stuck with the big sail for the lulls. It finally filled in some but got kind of streaky and pulled away from the shores. Still, had another 1.5 hours of great rides and quit with a huge smile on my face. Josh, Lane and Cindy joined the fun. It was hot enough that I went down on purpose about every 15 minutes and it felt sweet. Great morning. Time for a day of rest.
