9/12-18 Talamone Italy
Thanks to Brian Stephens' post, we spent a week kiting, windsurfing and sightseeing in Talamone. We rented a very reasonably priced villa in Talamone and did day trips to Rome, Florence and other spots. In between we were on the water. It was great. There's so much to see. The kiting/windsurfing is bump and jump on clean Mediterranan water.
I brought my kites and rented a board. I rented from a school and we had to join their club to rent. It turned out good because the guys that worked there were helpful and all the equipment was right there.
We ate alot of gelato and the beer was good. We found good food around Talamone but had some not so good on the road. I didn't lose any weight.
It took me a while to figure out the speed cameras on the roads and I might have a bunch of speeding tickets coming in the mail. It was funny because all the Alpha Romeos, BMWs and Mercedes were in the passing lane full time, doing 40k over the speed limit and never slowed down. We figured that if you had one of those cars, you got a free pass with the tickets.
