9-22 to 9-25 - Costa Brava Spain
Posted: Mon Sep 29, 2014 1:45 pmThis year I was lucky enough to attend the Starboard World Dealer Meeting at The Happy Whale in Costa Brava Spain.
Basically it was a mix of conditions - good for SUP, SUP wave surfing, kiting, light wind sailing, and 1 good day of windsurfing.
Starboard rolled out about 150 boards to try out. So a little bit of all kinds of gear.
At night the swimming pool became the SUP Polo court for some hilarious action.
Each country put together teams of three to pair off in a single elimination tournament.
In the end the US team lost in a very competitive match to a MexiCanada.
Very fun way to use paddle boards!
The Starboard staff had a great way to drag race - especially that everyone was on similiar gear.
But the guys would gather a mile out and then drag race back to shore. - Just simple straight line racing.
Basically I am ready for some more wind!
