10/10, DCBWB, 12 meter

I think the wind might have started earlier, around 2ish. But I was hiking. So, I got to the site around 4 and saw Bubba, Spencer, Billy and Ralph there. For two hours, the wind was almost perfect. A 14 or 15 would have been better. But It was having a great time with the 12 meter. The wind died at around 5:45.

Sure is nice to have Barbwire back. The walk to the water is a looong way. It feels like you're dragging the kite the whole way. The kite is pulling you on the way in and it's not bad (as long as there's wind left).

Showed up late around 4 was light and up and down. Everyone stopped and went in and looked up the lake and saw pole boarder slogging so I was also ready to pack it in when but 10 mins later I checked again and saw him cranking so stayed out. Pick up steady and I Was pretty lit until after 6 when I decided it was time to pack it in. Sounds like early and late wind windows. Nice to get out in sunny weather now that forecast shows major cooling with mt snow & valley rain.

3:30 to 5:30 - late sesssion.
Looked like the wind came up earlier - so I guess I lucky to get what I got.
Rigged 9.5 Severne Overdrive and formula board.
First surprise was that the water felt warm for mid October.
As I launched there was no wind on the lake, but I figured I need to make the effort.
The effort paid off - the wind filled back in for a couple hours.
More planning then slogging.
Hopefully more days before it gets too cold.
