Couldn’t resist a December sesh. Only 34 degrees on the Salt Flats but it was 50 at the lake. Too bad the water was so frigid. I washed a sail off without gloves on and it was painful. Definite incentive to stay on the board. Started off with lots of clouds leading to over-rigging with the 5.2. Still probably the best sesh as it just kept getting gustier as the day went on. Wild screaming rides on the little Race iSonic was the only way to survive. The whitecaps were usually being ripped off the waves in the middle but the edges were a little lighter allowing for reasonable jibes. Barely hanging on during the 3rd sesh and at the 2.5 hour mark when I finally went down for the 1st time. The brain freeze heading back to shore was all I could handle and I bagged it. The meter shows it was 35 gusting 37 when I quit. Seemed to be plenty of reach, the farmers must have stopped draining the lake.
