No hurry, it was cold. Got there at 8:30 and Mike already totally lit on 5.2 and switching down to 101L board. John and I went with 86L boards with John on 5.8 and me on 6.0. Josh showed up a little later and went with 5.7 and +100L. Very sweet winds until after 11:00. Definitely ripping at full speed 1st half of morning with it only weak on the west side. The 2nd half it got a little gusty/holey on the east side too but there were still ripping wind lines in the middle. Expecting campers all along fence but there was only one and our gate was clear. Great to be back on the small boards. Great morning.

As usual, it sounds as though Grants was much better that DC. We did get wind starting about 12:30, but it was extremely gusty/holey, definitely not small-board friendly conditions. George was on his Carve 131 and a 7.5. I used the old, reliable FF138 and my 7.0. Water temp is still about 50F.
