9/3, Grants 2nd shift, 7.0/6.0/115L
Low wind readings at Grants and a touch of food poisoning left me too lethargic to get there for the morning sesh. Got there at 10:45 as the morning shift (6 guys) was calling it quits. Caught some great wind lines right off and had a good sesh before the lunch die-off. Experience from camping at Grants gave me hope it would come back around 2:00 and it really did. Started off SE and ended up SW for wild rides into the corner. Thankfully I had rigged the 6.0 during lunch and by 3:00 was ripping around on it. It is never smooth in the afternoon but definitely enough wild wind lines to get the adrenaline going. Lots of times I would swing around by the dam, look south, and think oh my gosh I’m going to die. Also plenty of dead spells in the afternoon that kept me on the floatier 115L instead of the usual 86L. Finally quit from exhaustion at 5:00. Tons of rides and a sweet afternoon.
