DC served up one of the nicest days in recent memory; blue sky, early fall colors, strong, steady wind, relatively few boats, smooth swells. What's not to like (unless you were one of the two small boat sailors stranded at BWB due to too much wind)? One look at the traffic crawling down 189 made BWB seen like the best option for my launch site despite the LONG walk to the water. One other windsurfer and numerous kiteboarders, including (in no particular order) Mike Hill, Jim Hornbeck, Peter Miller and John Guay.

Putting in an 8 hour "ski patrol" shift at Soho for the sheep dog championships and butterfly suturing a 3cm dog bite laceration/flap to the left testicle of an "exhibitor" was not as good as your day...... What does the rest of the week look like up there?

Craig sounds optimistic about today.
