4/12, Grants, 6.0/86L/115L
Determined to be there for the “day-before” winds. It paid off. From 9:00 to 11:15 wind meter showed 21/22g25. That beats even the normal Grants morning sessions that are usually 22g28 with some bouncing around. I resisted the usual impulse to over-rig and left the 7.0 in the car. Had some fun for a half hour on the little 86L iSonic but spent most of the morning blasting around on the narrower but floatier speed board. The 6.0 was totally lit on the east half of the lake with wild jibes in the corner and was nicely powered near the west shore. When I looked at it at 6:00 it was already 10 degrees warmer than the last 2 days and the whole sesh was in the upper 50’s. Sweet morning.
