Beautiful autumn day with fairly steady wind and pleasant temperature. When I arrived, Dave 'O was in the process of setting up his foiling rig (180L Starboard Go board, Slingshot foil with 14" mast, 6.0 M^2 sail). Amazing to see such a large board rise out of the water powered by a fairly small sail. Dave insisted that I give it a try; definitely challenging! Getting up on the foil was amazingly easy, staying up for more than a few seconds wasn't. Each time a I popped up, the board would immediately head up and drop back down. There's clearly a bit of a learning curve! But it does look doable. I haven't yet ordered a foil, but I'm thinking about.
