9/10/21 Grants 6.5m 112L 85L

Postby John Freed » Fri Sep 10, 2021 2:13 pm

Really nice morning at Grants, fully powered up on 6.5m, Ken on a 6.0m (nursing his bum knee). Sailed the 112L, then got on the 85L for about 20 minutes. Water low, but certainly have seen it worse in the fall. Definitely still worth a trip out there. It will probably go lower, but full enough for Ken and I! Sailed from about 9-11... probably could have gone into the afternoon. A slug of wind meters are down in the area, including the meter right at the city utility building on the road to the reservoir. Hopefully it's a short term issue. So... it may be back to a leap of faith, without being able to check it first thing in the morning. Fabulous morning (slogged "once"...)!
