Arrived as Jim was pulling out, mentioning that it was a little gusty... when I hit the water, it didn't take me long to know what Jim was talking about. Very gusty, but big fun to ride the big blasts. On my first reach a bald eagle escorting me across the cove... cool!. I got one big gust, and I almost made it to barb wire beach. Then the wind started to die off and I thought Oh-Oh... But a few more gusts showed up and was able to make it back home. Gusty, but a good day.
