Rolled in Saturday to my favorite view, trees shaking and foam on the water. Sailed 5.0 for 3 hrs at the event site as a nice warmup. Sunday was flat...lost lake hike, hood's on fire. Monday was another 5.0 day at swell city and it was just swell for 5 hrs. Tuesday it kicked in 3.9 and 8'3" shuler at Rowena.....first on the water.....sailed all day, about 5 hrs of hang time. Wednesday it was a downhaul your boxers day at Rowena. I sailed for 4 hrs on a 3.4 very overpowered in gusts to 45-50. All the fun ended with a "boom" when I launched into the head of my boom, with a boom of my head. Seven stitches above the left eyebrow in the Hood River E.R. pulled it all together. Ended the trip a day short, but it was perfect timing as the wind died the next two day.
