As usual, Craig's forecast was right on the money- DC, 3 PM.

Got on the water around 3:45 with a 7.5 and my trusty (ex-Carl) Formula 155. Able to plane about 50% of the time, which is a lot better than what I did on Lake Mohave last week while the rest of you were ripping it up on DC; do I have timing, or what?

So what was it like temperature-wise? George got some really alarming water temps (40s!!) with his infrared "gun", but it didn't seem that cold to me, and at the end of my session I got readings of 49 air, 57 water on my digital probe. My hands started getting a little cold about halfway through the session, but Playtex gloves solved that until right at the end.

Mojave?

So Jim, what was the Mojave report?

With my usual exquisit timing, I managed to arrive just as a strong low pressure system was moving in, featuring thunder, lightening, torrential downpours, and (except during the thunderstorms) not much wind. Angela got in a brief session on her FF168, but I was basically skunked. Looked like things were starting to improve Sunday, but we had to get back home. All in all, I should have stayed home and sailed DC.
