Had a lovely walk with my daughter at the Nature Conservancy Wetland Preserve in Layton Sunday AM. We sat on top of their very cool observation tower in the building north winds at 11:00 and bird watched. If you haven't been there, you should visit.

I was confident the afternoon would bring lots of planing, but since we got back too late to head for Sulfer, and the SLC airport had switched to north, I headed south.

Waited at the ghastly Thanksgiving Point business development park (geez, what are they thinking - have they even considered using architects?) for 1/2 hour until 4:30, waiting for the north to push over point of the mountain. Didn't happen so I bagged it. Driving over the point I had the odd experience of seeing through my left window the Camp Williams windmills spinning merrily in the South wind while through my right windshield I could see the flag at the the gravel pit blowing from the North! I guess with all this southerly jet overhead I should've known better, but I'm a chronic optimist in a North. Maybe someone got it later?

Oh well, glad others got some sailing! Dubbock -- how was J-Bay??

Judy was on a 6.0, Jim on a 5.3, sailing with a cracked rib from Sat till he ragdolled and for once stopped sailing long enough to drink a fine beer. Started at 1030am, 20+ SW, front rolled through around 2pm, then it was gusty like Fri and Sat. Rode it all from 5.3 to 6.8.
