Aug 30 , Bear lake and SSB in the same day
Posted: Wed Aug 31, 2005 1:24 pmI actually got a few good rides on Bear lake. Bear Lake was not my primary reason for going north. I thought it would have been Nothwest but it was totally west. I rode on the south end the lake just west of the Rendezvous beach about 1/4 mile. Nice open beach for the launch. If the wind was north it would be a perfect side shore. But the wind was west and off shore. The offshore wind made great glass riding. I rode my 20M kite. The wind was very gusty so RIDE RATIO was slog 20% burn 40% dial 60%. I came in after 90 minutes and decided to go to Utah lake. Arrived at SSL around 6pm and had a great 11M session. After driving 430miles I biked 45miles, rode bear lake and Utah lake and never got skunked.
