Got there early (9:00) and rode till 11:30. Winds were very gusty but rideable. Fairly powered up on the 10m. Snow conditions are great as advertised. The winds were strong enough to rig right next to the road instead of hiking up the rise. I had to leave early but as I was leaving I saw 2 more folks setting up to kite. They were gone by the time I got packed up so I don't know who it was.
I was glad to get an early session in since it was raining hard on the way home on top of Trappers Loop road which is roughly the same elevation as Monte. Also, as I am writing this Pow Mow has 40 MPH winds. :||

East of Pineview dam on SR 39. Use the link below for real time info at Pow Mow. Monte is usually only good when the winds nuke at Pow Mow (25-30mph+). The terrain at Monte is much better-kind of like Skyline or Strawberry. I park just below the Ant Flat parking lot (milepost 36) for snowmobilers and may or may not hike up the rise. You are hiking up the summer road to Hardware ranch. The winds are not always apparent at the parking area for Monte.
