ULSSB forecasters - Your thoughts for Wednesday

Postby Kenny » Tue Aug 23, 2005 1:21 pm

It looks like the wind is going to start out southwest tomorrow and shift to the west/northwest in the afternoon. I think it will be too west for Rush (not sure if Rush has any water). I am curious if you think it will make it to ULSSB before dark. Craig, Dean - what are your thoughts?

I haven't been on the water since I got back from the gorge. Starting to feel that itch again.

Hi Kenny,

If it comes in down there, it'll be after 4 PM. The clouds should clear,
in the PM, but with the West component, it'll still be a little gusty.
Watch for stray thunderheads (as in dangerous gusts).
Probably be more Northerly the farther North
you are on the lake.

I think there's pretty good potential for big kite rides if there's not much
moisture in the area (ala Dean's theory).

Good luck,

-Craig

p.s. I'd like to know if Rush still has water also, anybody been out there
lately?

p.p.s Could be a lot better up at Sulfur tomorrow, if you stay clear of
the power lines, could be some ripp'n Kite rides up there, again
with the potential for dangerous thunderhead gusts.
