Where to Ride9/10

Another formula day at DC in the PM, if you're lucky and the
clouds and rain don't shut it down. Probably too rainy for Sulfur
today, but if it clears this PM, you could get rides up there also.

Tomorrow looks like a DC/Pineview/Sulfur day with planable
conditions on big gear from about 11 to 2 or 3 PM. Might be an
Evening Kite board session at UL South launches also.

For anybody trying to theorize and predict wind on Pineview. Reports around town, there was a kiter out yesterday. Heard this morning Marty was the guy. I couple more days of that Marty, I'll buy the eightball thing.

I just don't get it.....

Cloudy...
Southerly flow...
Saturday...

But still wind at Pineview.

I would have bet on no wind,
right up to the second Doug and I stepped into the water..
But, had a very good session..
13M, and I didn't even need the Glide!!

If I would have sent a text to anybody,,
you would have missed it by the time you got there..

If we were smart we would probably just paste a gps to Marty's van and follow him around.

Way too may thunderheads around DC yesterday!

I couldn't get the data from my weather station to upload in the normal way, so I posted them as a picture in the "album" section of this forum.

Well, you'd been bummed most of this year if you followed me to PV.

But , you would have been a happy camper today(Sunday).
Good stuff again.
Windsurfers enjoyed WS beach.
We kited Middle Inlet.

The wind seems smoother at Middle Inlet, after it has had the fetch of the reservoir to smooth out, compared to the gustier, hole er, wind at windsurf beach.
Middle Inlet will be closing in the next few weeks, we'll have to hike in from now on.
It would be fun to see you carry your formula gear in!!

Just two lucky days, after a whole summer of skunkage.

It's all a matter of proximity.

Is middle inlet the pay area/peninsula just north of cemetary point? There is a large sand bar there that gets bigger and bigger as the water drops. It is good for the west wind you are talking about. It has been really cold up here in the mornings so I think you'd see more of that now. In the fall, I have seen it really good there for the North winds that come with a cold front. A little gusty, but less gusty than the north fork inlet.

Yes north of CP

The fall has always been the best for wind at PV
Temp changes probably have a lo to do with it.

But it can be killer one day,
and the next day seems to have the same conditions.
and skunkage happens.

You have the best condition...
You live there,,
Just go when it blows..
