Warm Weather...

I remember a few warm days late in the year like this... Not many though... I wish the wind would've lined up a little better.... ALTHOUGH... If I'd have been able to break away from work earlier I would have been up at Deer Creek at 11:30AM to be there for the great session. I am sure a few people got it and I can't wait to hear! (*#@*&*@

This Jones that I have is not cool! A windsurfing Jones that is like an itch underneath a full body cast... And it's probably in the worst inaccessible itch place possible! You can't itch it really... You can try to move around a little... Check the wind meters. Read some posts. Contemplate the possibility: ""It's 2:44PM, I drive up to DC, get there by 3:45PM, rig, on the water by 4PM ... Hmmmm..."" Wind dies at 4:05PM... ... he he... What to do, what to do? You lucky people that got a little of it!

Awesome weather though.

I think you are right.

Any windsurfer that is contemplating snowkiting should check out the new video 20/10. The Utah scenes are amazing.

Amen,

Kenny and Marty! ;)... I am onto the snowkiting thing. I went to the Snowkite masters. I confessed to this at the UWA meeting! ;) Actually, I had a blast... It's got a lot of potential... In fact, I did it on skiis... But I have only tried snowboarding once in my life... Didn't take to it... I think Kitesnowboarding would be a little easier on the knees then Kitesnowskiing... It did put a little strain on my right knee because of the angle... I think a snowboard has a better angle ergonomically... Although, I think I like the dynamic of skiis better...

So I've already signed up for a few snowboarding lessons this year... We'll see... So you don't need to sell me on it...

Although, you could sell me some of those wonderful rolls! ;)

Rick,

A lesson is a good idea. When I decided to learn how to snowboard 10 years ago, I thought it would be a snap because I already learned how to ski. Fortunately, an instructor took pity on me and gave me some lessons.

The good news for you is that you don't have to be a great snowboarder in order to snowkite as you can just ride on your heelside the whole time. However, I think you will enjoy the kitesnowboarding more if you are somewhat proficient on a snowboard.

Hope to see you at Skyline this winter! I will bring the rolls.

Kenny
