1st ANNUAL DOWNWINDER WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY May 8th to 25th
Posted: Mon May 07, 2007 11:39 amSO, We've decided to do the 1st ANNUAL RUNNING OF THE CARP! (I kinda like that one)... Craig and I did kind of a mock weather run this weekend and it would've worked well... He nailed it of course... Sarah is going to rig up some goodies that'll be on the boat for consumption upon arrival at PVU...
Now the question is exactly when... Keep your eyes open for the POSTING that will be called:
1st ANNUAL RUNNING OF THE CARP 2-3 DAY HEADS UP
Then I will post on that day the CONFIRMATION IT'S ON
or POSTPONED 
! There the times of day will be confirmed... Shooting for Thurs, Fri, or Sat... Unless another day is too good to pass up...
During the window from May 8th to the 25th... If it doesn't happen in that window, it'll be pushed to the fall... But I think it'll happen...
When that day is announced... Get there an hour early for "Skipper's meeting" and for time to rig and get out on the water warming up!
I will go over all the RULES and DETAILS at the Skipper's Meeting... It will be required at the "Crossing" (not yet a race) for you to sign onto a sheet. If you don't sign that sheet at the skippers meeting, you will not be considered officially in the crossing... It's important for keeping track of people... So once there, please help us to be organized for safety by looking out for that "sign up" sheet at the Skipper's meeting previous to embarking!!!

Kevin S. I believe you said something about this... We will need a couple spotters (counters) on the boat and a couple of people to be on the other side to help people out of the water at PVU etc. And somebody who'll make sure people get the sign up sheet.
Les/Marty/Jason Call me so we can talk about the Kite side of it...
PSS... The only COMPETITION this time around is to see who has the biggest showing KITERS or WINDSURFERS!!! uh oh!
