A cool front will clip the North end of the state and provide some wind
at Sulfur in an otherwise windless pattern. Figure PM 7.5 up there.
I don't thinlk there's much potential anywhere else, but if the
front shifts South enough, then DC (South) and Rush (North)
might get going, but today, I think you'd better watch the predictors,
and go if they show something.
I'll be out of town till Monday, but it looks like a better day at Sulfur
tomorrow (Friday) in the 6.5 range, Saturday looks pretty windless.
Sunday will be pretty good AM at Grantsville (6.5) and PM at DC (7.5)
and Monday looks like a North switch for planable conditions at Sulfur,
UL and Rush.

I did a crazy winddance, fasted, burned a sail board in my backyard as a sacrafice, then ate the head off a chicken, and walla! Puff - NOAA said 10 to 20 from the south at deer creek on Saturday. Lets hope it gives us that.

At the very least maybe I can get Craig to change his forecast to Saturday - DC Sailboat beach great conditions for UWA get together and USG races - tasty chicken and some sunburns.

Hi Kenny,
Sure, it's possible. The pressure looks high and mighty on Saturday,
but the West wind up at Sulfur should be planable. I hope you're right,
but it doesn't look that promising (right now). You'll know more by
tomorrow, but I'll be off the grid. If the front comes in a little early,
what you've got below is pretty much what will happen.
Good luck,
-Craig
Craig,
Maybe I am just being too hopeful, but NOAA is showing some decent south wind for Sulphur and Rush on Saturday afternoon. I am thinking that Grantsville might get the south on Saturday morning, albeit lighter than Sunday and DC might even produce. However, I have no idea how to predict DC. I just go by what you say and check the predictor before heading out.
Rush may end up being a bust on Saturday (north fighting the south), but I bet with the record temps Burmester and the Salt Ponds will be excellent.

Hi Josh,
Would that I could influence the weather, then we'd all be hip deep
in 3.7 wind every (Summer) day. I'd love to take my Hypersonic, and
an 8.5 up to the event and run it. Unfortunately large gear is not in
the cards for me right now even if I were in town.
Stick with that NOAA forecast and hope for the best. See my response
to Kenny. I'd love it if you all got great wind Saturday, and it's
possible.
Get some rides for me.

ps wish I could have seen that dance ;*)
