Apparently, the logic goes, the city should have done something to stop him. Like close the beach or something. You know, because it was like, cold out.
Please leave comments on the site, the kiters are getting slammed and need some responsible representation (which barrs me from commenting).
Best wishes all,
-Josh

anyone that kites two miles offshore alone is asking for trouble. Nice wife, she's biting the hand that tried like hell to save the dude, and he's only worth 75k? I thought kiters were worth more than that!

I hate to bring my work into this forum, but if the family was planning on burying themselves in another country why wouldn't they plan ahead and buy a life policy. You know it is going to be expensive to move a body so why not prepare?

This widow has embraced the American culture fairly well but she has much more to learn. While her lawsuit is quaint in its European-ness, here we do things much, much bigger. A true American knows that when abandoning responsibility for ones own actions, one should cast a wide net of blame. Equipment manufacturers, automobile manufacturers, weather forecasters, cell phone/internet providers, big oil, big tobacco, big box retail, big cup of hot coffee spilled on your big package....think BIG. All these entities and many more are to blame for her husbands fatal kite session.
BTW
If a kiter is worth $75k, a windsurfer must be worth at least $100k as the pole surfer is an endangered species.
