Where to Ride 4/26

Light but planable North wind today at Rush and Utah Lake. Kiters will see 15M wind most of
the day at either location, best around 1 PM. Best UL launches will be Saratoga SPrings Park for WIndsurfers in the 7.5 range, and probably ULSSB for Kiters if you can Drift Launch.
WIndsurfers could also get
cold cold rides on a West wind at Sulfur in the 6M range .
I don't see it in the discussion, but one NWS forecast
is calling for 65 MPH gusts at Rush and 55 MPH gusts at the South end of UL.
I'm not sure what factors are causing this predicion, but all kidding aside, that is LIFE
THREATENING CONDITIONS for Kiters.
Be aware, and stay safe.

Tomorrow and Monday look like DeerCreek kinda days,

Hi,
I'm not familiar with the Saratoga Springs Park. The only park I know of at Saratoga is the little park that was in the middle of a bunch of houses right on the northwest corner of the lake, near "The Church", I think. I know they used to tell us that it was private and we weren't to use it. They even threatened to impound cars, as I remember it. Is this the same place? You're not talking about the park near Pelican Point with the marina, are you? If so, I guess I just have the name wrong.

Hi Rick, yeh, they chased us out of that Northern park a few years ago also. Said it
was private to the neighborhood. Saratoga Springs Public Park is about 2 Miles South
of our old Rocky Point Launch. Just keep going South on the road till you come to the sign
on the left (if you go more than 4 miles then you've passed it). It's just North of Pelican
Point (for the real old timers). It's a pubilc park, and last year there was no fee, though
they do have a little fee shack at the entrance. Nice Grassy rigging area, but the launch
area (to the North of the Boat Launch and Jetty )is too small for a good Kite launch.
Why it's called Saratoga Springs Park (when Saratoga is many miles to the North), I don't
know.

Ok,
Thanks Craig. Been there numerous times; just didn't recognize the name. For some reason I had Pelican Point in my senior mind.
Have a great day and thanks for this info AND for your ongoing prognostications of the weather.
