Landboard rally -- Early June?

Hey kite brethren.

Burmies is going to open up very soon, if it's not ridable already. I wanted to get a rally together, like I've been saying I wanted to do for years now. I've got the mountainboarding crew on the hook, so we could get some ramps for the adventerous.

Anyhow, I'm going to be kiting in the Dominican Republic for the next 2-3 weeks, but I'd like to get this rolling for maybe the 2nd or 3rd weekend in June. I want to get some demo boards and buggies, and get a mess of guys out there.

I only think I need to check into parking. I figure it will need to be a foot crossing of the tracks and a bit longer walk, and I'll have to call the railroad company and make sure that I can get permission to park in their lot. Does anyone know the name of that company? Is it Union Pacific or something like that?

Anyhow, if we can work it out, I'd think it would be pretty cool. By then the afternoon thermals should be in full swing. 10-12m kites should handle it.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Luv,
Justin

I don't see why not. If you've got a poleboarding rig that will run off road! I'd bet that buggies would be a better choice if you don't mind flying a kite ... withstand the temptation to cross over.

That's the spirit! And it'd be cool if you can get Brian on board (or buggy). I was thinking Steve at Cloud9 might want to come out as well.

Thanks, Billy.
