Weather page changes

I'd love it if we could set the "winds aloft" link (or a copy thereof) prominently near the "jet stream conditions now" and "in 24 hours" and "in 48 hours".

Also, would kindly suggest we drop the Windfinders stuff for Grantsville. It's completely erroneous, has insufficient data for any real time use and is just clutter on the page.

Don't know if anyone likes Windfinders display for the other sites -- I don't use any of them since I think the predictions are generally suspect if not bogus -- but for G'ville I vote we remove it.

Always wiling to be outvoted. Thanks for the great upkeep otherwise!

Ouch, you don't like the windfinder inserts.

The current info is taken directly off the station. I am just looking at a way to get current windspeeds onto the main page without major database programming. google also has some weather gadgets we could use to get current data.

I will move the winds a loft to where you suggest.

We have been talking about an overhaul on the weather page, but no one has yet wanted to tackle the project.
I think there is too much info for just one page.

I was thinking of building in some folder tabs at the top of the page for the different categories, So that we could move through it faster.
Such as: general info, national weather, current wind speeds, utah lake, rush lake, grantsville, etc.

That way we could pack a little more info for each site and still maintain everything that is on there now, but make navigation faster.

Ideally I would like to see a current wind chart that gives current info. And make a smaller version for cell phones. So we can do without iwindsurf.
I really like this system though: http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=134&snapShotBar=barGraph

http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=134&regionProductID=1&timeoffset=0

and :http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=134&siteID=1118&Isection=Forecast+Graphs

Anyway, maybe it is time that we get some input on what people want on the weather page.
Give us your .02 and dream list. Maybe we can get some of it on there.
