Did Lincoln go off?

I'm try to test out an alternate predictor for UT lake:
http://www.met.utah.edu/cgi-bin/roman/m ... ?stn=UTALPIt made a north switch at 4pm last night and bolted to 15mph straight away. I'm wondering if that's a reliable indicator for what's going to happen at SSB / LB two hours later. It'd be nice to have something to go by while Bluffdale is down for service. Bluffdale defined most of my sessions last August/September.
Anyone was there? Care to comment?

I have been using the Meso West a lot since the Bluffdale is down
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/slc/current/meso.nwut.phpIf it show north around the wind sensor in Utah lake area, then most likely it will happen.
It was probably very light yesterday at Lincoln Beach but I didn't go down there. It look like today is going to happen late this afternoon or early evening.

Ya from what I noticed from last night's readings it looked like it came in late around 7 or 8 pm. If you hit the water at 7 that's 2 good hours of riding before it gets dark!

Here's a weather station that's smack dab between SSB and LLB and about 2 miles from the lake. It's fairly accurate, but I usually add about 2 to 4 knots on the wind speed and average it out. If you really want to know before you go, check it out before you leave.

I was out at Lincoln today between 4:00 and 7:00. I was hoping a forecast on ikitesurf.com would be somewhat accurate. The wind WAS from the north, but it didn't get above 12mph (and that was only for about 10 minutes). The ikitesurf forecast for tomorrow looks good, too... but I'm skeptical.

The website Weston posted is what I have been using. This gives current wind, which is nice, but it takes an hour for me to get down to SSB or Lincoln. The Bluffdale site and Provo airport made it so you could have a good guess whether it would go off in a hour or two. The whitewillows site gives you the last 20 min. You can check out the Weather Underground for the days history which helps to see the pattern.
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KUTLAKES1It shows last night as being very weak.

Currently, the point of the mountain wind meter (link in my first post) is reading around 20 from the north. This looks promising, so I'm going to test out the theory today. Anyone else down?
