There are a few wicked looking rocks sticking out of the water at the island. The old metal buoy is either gone or sunk. With all the whitecaps yesterday it was very difficult to see the rocks. Everyone be careful this weekend. If anyone has a floating buoy it could help with the UWA weekend. If the water goes down a little more Dangerous D could replant his palm tree. It is also very shallow on the north side of the boat ramp.

Thanks Ken. That island gives me the creeps and it's not clear how far it extends even when it is marked.

Great heads up! Thanks Ken... Fins and finboxes in tact are good, excavating the bottom of Sulphur Creek with a fin bad!
Usually by now the island is in plain sight. Isn't it in line between the spillway(big cement structure by the dam) and the bathrooms? I remember some kind of reference that I used to use. When it is in full sight, you can go upwind of it all day long (west of it) however it extends eastward a couple hundred feet or so...
