US Forest Service recognizes Kiters as User Group
I posted this on Kiteforum.com earlier.
I am really happy to see it myself. The Forest Service of the Manti-La Sal district has erected a log post Kiosk at Skyline. It presents 3 posters, arising awareness for avalanche safety, general safety, and positive approaches towards working together with the user groups....
.... And Snowkiting was recognized as a big (if not biggest) of the local user-groups, including snowmobiling and its counterparts our brethren skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers and x/c skiers. Check out the images below.
Main point is... we have the US Forest Service recognizing kiters as a large and positive user group at one specific Utah location. This can only lead to better & more permanent relationships between wind riders and the powers that govern our local lands.
