Here Today...gone to Maui

Postby Trip Houk » Fri Aug 19, 2005 1:49 pm

[b][i]Is anyone else getting just a little jealous of the surf rats postings from the Gorge? Don't any of that crew have to work? Doesn't anyone else go a little jummpy when sailors are posting 5.0 conditions mid week when the rest of us working stiffs are desk bound?
Well fine! We'll look forward to your tails and sails next weekend at Sulfur and then it's off to Maui. Is anyone else planning on an island jaunt after Labor Day. Let's rub it in! This is where we'll be.

Hey Trip, I'll snag a swell or 2 for ya this weekend, and you can reciprocate,
by grabbing a couple of wave rides for me in a few of weeks.

Of course we have to work, how else could we pay for all that gear,
but surely you've heard of vacation.
Actually Gunars is retired, and Melinda is on the School Teacher
schedule. Stuart and Sharon live up there these days fur cry'n out
loud.

The rest of us just spend our vacation wisely, but having gear up there
definitely helps, cauze it lets ya fly up, which saves 2 days.

Jeeze, Grant and Duane used to fly up there alla-time (in their own
airplane I hear), so how come yur give'n us such a bad time, ;*)

Craigster,
You know I'd never begrudge you a second of pleasure. The rats are a great bunch! (not a "silver spooner" among you) However, I couldn't miss an opportunity to razz you a little. Since I don't have the courage to sacrifice employment, such as it is, I'll have to settle (hopefully) for a few Sunday puffs. Have a great time up there and we'll hope to catch you next weekend. T&J :D 8)

Mean Trip... Cruel... I thought you had a soul! You even go and listen to classical guitar concerts... I would think that this would give you some traces of mercy... J/K... of course... sounds fun, and the cottage looks pretty cool and relatively reasonbly priced... I love hearing about people sailing anywhere... It's called vicarious work ;) he he...
