The Amish diet: walk 20 miles a day and eat anything you want. Or try windsurfing. I have dropped my total cholesterol 40 points since windsurfing started this year and without a change in diet. Now I just need to learn to diet in the winter as the back has shut down my ski career.

Hi Ken,
It sounds like your winter diet needs to include some "Aruba". I hear that works well.

for the winter, consider a split snowboard and the backcountry. Low impact and fun enough to keep you working real hard for more runs and watching the snowpack is as engrossing as watching the wind if not more so. splitboard.com

Or, try snowkiting. I windsurf in the summer and snowkite in the winter. I found that I am in better shape in the winter than I am in the summer.
