anyone have any info/experience on riding lake tahoe? i'll be out there next weekend for a week and a half. plan on lots of biking and hopefully lots of kiting. all the information i've been able to find seems to say its fluky. the weather there today seems to be very gusty lake wind.

anyone have any tips, internet forums, or personal experience with kiting there? i'll be up on the north east shore....

I spent a few weeks there way back and there is not much beach area that would make kiting work. If you have a boat to kite from it might work. I looked into kiting there and could not find much info. Though people do kite there. I hear that there is a lake outside of Reno that is suppose to be good.
If you want to eat a good dinner ***** try the Soule Domaine near the Crystal Bay Casino reservations required I think.

Hi Mike, Get in touch with Dave from www.tahoemountainsports.com. He kites the local area summer and winter and would be happy to help you out. There is a pretty good crew of kiters out there on Lake Tahoe.

no boats for me! i'll help keep tahoe blue! we're staying at an area with a huge private beach so i hope if the wind comes up where we are staying it will be the perfect place to launch.

thanks for the info heather i'll try them out.

hey mike I use to windsurf on Lake washoe, "brown maui", if you get the chance it gets windy usually every day. It is 30 minutes south of Reno, might be too far from you depending where you are at in tahoe. I lived in Incline Village and would go down 2-3 times a week. about a hour.
good luck
