Skunked in the Gorge- twice

I think I'm jinxed. I went through the Gorge in late July right during that time it hit 110 degrees. Not a stitch of wind, only sweltering heat.

So last week I felt like some serious riding time so I can make lots of progress and I left for the Gorge late Sunday for Monday through Wednesday (yesterday). Skunked again. Monday was iffy with only about 1-2 hours of decent wind. Tuesday was dead calm. Wednesday was dead calm and so we left in the afternoon for our 11-hour drive back. All the way back I was checking the wind and sure enough, it kicked up right about the time we left and blew nicely all afternoon. What gives?

I had a good lesson by TJ up there via New Wind. Great people.
