I'm heading back to Utah for a family visit sometime soon. Windsurfing is great out here in the Midwest where I live! How is the Great Salt Lake for windsurfing? Around Lakeside or Magna is it good? Also, what about Lincoln beach on the very south of Utah Lake. Is that beach still accessible, and is the windsurfing very good there? How are water levels (depths) in Utah Lake and Great Salt Lake this year? I'm excited to go windsurfing in Utah!!

Thanks,

- Arctic

The Great Salt Lake isn't terribly popular with the local windsurfing community, but Utah Lake certainly is, especially since Rush Lake (south of Toole) has become too shallow for windsurfing. Not sure about Lincoln Beach (I'm not really a Utah Lake sailer) but there are numerous other launches on both sides including Pelican Point on the west shore, South Sandy Beach somewhere on the southern end, and Provo Boaqt Harbor on the east side. Other popular lakes are Deer Creek, Mona, Yuba, and Sulphur Creek (on the Mirror Lake highway south of Evanston.
