I set this slide off yesterday. Snowkiting is starting to sound pretty good to me now!

I used to do a lot of B/C skiing-- but the avvy risk is always there-- and the day you want the snow the worst is usually the worst day to go out. And the best conditions usually involve a 5am departure, a 3-4 hour climb and then you have your turns.
I REALLY like how you can have so much fun with kiting but stay out of the avvy danger too. And it fits my schedule a lot better too.

				wtf Jason!
glad to see you made it out ok. there is lots sloughing out there now. I've probably been skiing b/c more than anything this year and its spooky for sure. where exactly on wolverine is this? is it facing BCC on the solitude side or is it Alta side?

My brother and two others were rescued last year in a big slide. It broke over the top of them while hiking. The other skiers wives put a stop to them going but my brother still persists. Living through a slide once is more than lucky. It is important to play safe out there.

Ralph- I was able to ski off of the moving slab to skiers left. You can see my tracks skiing off in the photo. Mike- The slope was SE facing off of Wolverine towards the Supreme lift.
