This is at Promontory Point. Looks like the front hit the GSL and it is nuking! If I was still a poleboarder I'd grab a 3.5m and go!!! Or not ha!!!

Jason,
Check out Hat Island in the North end of GSL.
Wind Speed 38 mph from WNW, 43 at 15:00, 28 at 1:45, 43 at 15:00, 6 at 17:15
Wind Gust 52 mph, 60 at 15:00, 35 at 0:45 60 at 15:00 7 at 17:15
GSL Marina forecast was for Force 12 Winds (Hurricane Force with gusts to 73+)
Now this is TRUE NUKEFEST, if you can ride a 10M, it's barely windy; Hey, that's a light wind kite at the Gorge. Guess it all depends on your level of experience.

Check Willard POE..
http://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman ... time=LOCAL

Doug and I were out between 11:00 and 2:30!!
I came in at 1:30,, over powered on my 9M
just as Doug went out on his 7M.

Drysuits kept us warm.
and the wind was actually really good, as was the swell.
really fun day.
3.7-4.2 windsurfers would have been very happy.

Your level of expierience doesnt mean shit when your caught in a sudden mircroburst.
Today at Utah lake was light for some badasses, but the winds had the potencial to kill on any size kite, its storm wind.
