I want to take a kiteboarding lesson on the water, any ideas?
I know how to fly a kite and I know how to wakeboard.

I got a lesson from Don Losee last week while I was visiting family in Provo. Can't wait to go back! Don was great and I really enjoyed the experience. If we end up moving to UT you'll see more of me. =)

Thanks again Don!

My advice would be to wait until winter. Snowkiting is a whole lot easier to pick up than water kiting. Utah doesn't have great spots for learning. If you really want to get going, take a trip to South Padre for a week or so and take lessons there - warm water, shallow water, and steady wind make it perfect for learning. Fall and spring are best. The other perfect spot to learn is Cape Hatteras during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

Before you even bother with lessons, buy a 1.5M trainer kite and put in at least 5 - 10 hours of flight. It will jump-start your first lesson if you learn how to control the kite first.
