Hi Susan,
Yes, South wind does look to kick up a notch on Sunday, making DC look pretty good PM,
with maybe Willard and Mona in the mix PM as well.

swilliamson wrote:Craig, or any other wind masters. Do you think the system coming in on Monday could bring some wind Sunday afternoon? I'm hungry.

Ry,
You do realize Forecasting 6 days hence is lunacy, right? (So, putting my Moon boots on ;*) )
Historically, mid October tends to be pretty hit and miss up here with 2 days out of 4 a good
possibility for moderate (10M) kite winds if you're willing to ride an Easterly or 2. If the
long range forecast holds, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday all look Kiteable to me. We rode
a 4.7 Easterly yesterday, and there were plenty of Kites in the air at the Stevenson (Slingshot)
launch. The water is still warm and the 85 Degree air put a smile on my face.

p.s. For reference, I moved this here from the Forecasts Page because posts to that page

Ry,
I was at The Gorge last week 9/21-26 and basically NO Wind, lite E one day. I looked at the past history for that time and like Craig mentioned, it was about a 50/50 deal with so E thrown in. However, I took my dirt bike and rode Forest Single tracks, about 200 miles worth over 4 days, and it was one of the best Gorge tips ever. Lots to do, nice temps in the 80's.

True dat, but The Rock Star and I just hit 4 for 4 at 4.7 (8 for you)
Paraphrasing the Gunar's credo, " If you don't go, you won't Kite"
