Anybody know a good solution to valves that break in cold temps. I have replaced a few in the last year. I always try and be careful and work them slow when it is cold. I also try and not force them all the way in. I have bought the Airtime glue on replacements, which work.
I had one dump valve recently which did not want to come out without cussing it a lot. Three other people had the same problem that day.
Airtime also carries the glue on valve with a screw top. See attached link. I think this one is for Cabrina kites. I hear Ozone has a new “Boston valve?”

Question is will they fit through any leading edge hole? I found out from airtime you will need to widen hole to 11/8". they recomend replacing dump valve and leave fill valve.

I recently ripped an Ozone dump valve in the cold. One solution that seems to help is not completely putting the valve stop all the way in (I'm talking like only halfway in). I realize this causes a little more risk of it popping out inadvertently, but it also requires less force to pull it out. Seems like airtime of fixmykite has stick on screw valves...

Also a guy at the shop recommended gluing a piece of plastic on to the broken plugs to salvage them. Haven't tried it. Also if just the plug breaks you could always use a different unattached plug...

Hey All, If your plug breaks, I can replace them with spares, or even provide spares ahead so you don't miss the session. The new Boston Valve is nice and replaces any previous issues with plug valves, along with a larger volume inflation. But if you have a previous Ozone with plugs they made need replacement if they break when used on really cold days.
