				Marty,
Thank you for sharing!
Stockton is not a bad indicator on a north wind, but not a lot of help when the direction is from the south. I always figured it was not worth going on a south unless Stockton Bar was reading over 20. Penny's is a much better meter for figuring out what is going on at Rush.

Since neither is right on the water and Penney's usually reads a little low and Stockton Bar a little high; I always average the two and feel that will be pretty close to the true wind out on the water at Rush. I hope that works for everyone else.

Here's what our "Weather Page" says, and since I wrote it, I tend to agree.
Penny's is about 1/2 mile to the South of Rush. The Stockton Bar is about 2 Miles to the North, but high up in the foothills, and being higher up in the atmosphere, usually reads high. The average between the 2 is the most likely wind speed at Rush. If the wind is different directions between the 2, wait an hour and try again. The Lake Point Predictor is (very roughly) a good predictor for the wind Rush will get about an hour later.
I will say that the wind tends more toward the Penny's meter than the Stockton Bar, so
if you're in doubt, figure the penny's meter to be a better representation.
