Where to Ride - Saturday 1/3

Postby Kenny » Fri Jan 02, 2009 11:35 pm

Looks like a good day on tap with fresh snow and north winds. Snow will continue into the morning hours, so hopefully it will clear by late morning/early afternoon.

Strawberry looks very good, expect wind in the mid to upper teens with gust into the twenties with new powder.

Skyline also looks good with basically the same forecast as Strawberry.

Park City should give up some good rides with winds in the mid to upper teens with some new snow to freshen things up.

Rush lake & Herriman should also be good depending on coverage.

PowMow will have wind, but riding is somewhat limited on a north wind at PowMow. I am not sure about Monte Cristo on a north, if you have info, please inform me.

Avalanche danger is still very high, so stay out of the backcountry.

Wind is looking light on Sunday.

Brian,

How strong does the north wind have to be at PowMow for it to be rideable at Monte - 15?

Thanks for your help!
